Gorges du tarn
The Gorge du Tarn, the French equivalent to the Grand Canyon. Ok , not quite on the same scale but truly worth a visit. Watch the soaring Griffin Vultures, another amazing spectacle. We drop down 1000ft to the valley floor and follow the river Tarn then climb back up 1300ft with a series of hairpin corners (Top Gear buffs may recognise this part of the trip as it featured when the crossed the Millau viaduct in the Zonda and GT40)
